Welcome to our website. Northamptonshire Lohana Mahajan is active in the Northamptonshire county and is a member of the Lohana Community of United Kingdom, our parent organisation.

The Mahajan was formed in 1977 and was formally known as Wellingborough Lohana Mahajan. The founder members were Hemantbhai Samani, Natwarlalbhai Kotecha, Gopalbhai Dattani, Chimanbhai Sodha, Vallabbhai Ganatra and Mathuradas Thakrar.

The Mahajan membership then consisted of thirty to forty Lohana families from Wellingborough. In 1980 forty families led by Vajubhai Popat, Dilpbhai Kanani and Vijaybhai Savjani joined forces with Wellingborough Lohana Mahajan to form what is now known as Northamptonshire Lohana Mahajan to represent families from the entire Northamptonshire County.

In 1989 Jagdishbhai Ganatra in association with the Mahajan started the Jalaram Bhajan Bhojan which is still being hosted today in conjunction with the Wellingborough Hindu Mandir. In 1991 the Mahajan performed the pratistha of Shree Jalaram Bapa's murti at the Wellingborough Hindu Mandir.

At present the membership of the Northamptonshire Lohana Mahajan stands at 134 families. The Mahajan holds a variety of events and activities for its members throughout the year.
